Casey Affleck’s girlfriend, Caylee Cowan, reportedly awoke to find an intruder standing over her bed inside her Los Angeles home Tuesday morning.
Cowan, 24, was by herself in her bedroom when she opened her eyes and saw a man just feet away from her at about 3am, LAPD sources told TMZ Wednesday.
The actress reportedly screamed, scaring off the intruder, and proceeded to swiftly call the cops and describe what the man looked like.
Police descended on Cowan’s neighborhood and were able to nab the guy after he was spotted running down her street.
While authorities were able to catch the suspect, he reportedly made off with some of Cowan’s belongings. He was arrested and booked for burglary, according to the website.
There were apparently no signs of forced entry into her home, and TMZ reported that Affleck, 46, was not present at the time of the incident.
The “Sunrise in Heaven” star, though likely shaken, was unharmed in the scare.
Her rep did not immediately respond to our request for comment. We’ve also reached out to the LAPD.
Cowan and Affleck have been linked as a couple since November 2021 when Page Six exclusively published photos of the duo making out and embracing in LA. They went Instagram-official later that month. And in January, they smooched again, sharing an open-mouthed kiss in a photo posted to his Instagram.
Affleck gushed over his girlfriend at the time, writing, “I do not know what I did to deserve you, but I am determined to figure it out and keep doing it forever. While it beats, you have a place in my heart. I hope you stay that long. I love you. Casey. ”
They sparked engagement rumors in March when Cowan was spotted wearing a large ring on her left hand during a date night in Beverly Hills.
Affleck started dating Cowan shortly after he split from “A Million Little Things” star Floriana Lima. He was previously married to actress Summer Phoenix from 2006 to 2017. Affleck and Phoenix, 43, divorced after he was accused of workplace sexual harassment in 2010.
Affleck settled two harassment suits out of court and publicly denied the claims, but he has admitted to “allowing people to behave unprofessionally” on a movie set.
